I have a (mostly) functioning vintage Mac Collection and I am an Artist. So I have a bunch of desks for different purposes. I cleaned my room a couple days ago because I was having family over for Rosh Hashanah. So for the first time in a while, All of my desks are presentable. Every year my young cousins hang out in my room and I give their parents a break by entertaining them. So, Please excuse the random toys and stuffed animals in the photos. Please keep this to this thread, I'll bump it up at least three times today. No need for the FP to be over-run with this stuff again. Anyway, here's my desks:

Yay for vintage Macs! I still have a stack of Classic IIs and SE/30s sitting in my parents' attic. Over here, I've got a IIfx that runs A/UX (a very interesting MacOS-Unix hybrid from the late '80s), but that's about it.

I have an Se/30 As well. I have the original registration form, all the books and manuals. Even the Requisition form and build sheet from the Princeton school store where it was purchased way back in 1989 by my cousin. It worked up until a few months ago when the SMC battery decided to launch itself from the board. Ive been afraid to fix it because of the CRT. I dont have the original boot disk though, Ive been booting off of Write Now V2.0

Awesome! I've had them apart before, and I wouldn't be too scared of the CRT. Just leave it unplugged for a week or so before you open it up, to let any charge leak off. The logic board comes out on a tray, so if you're careful, you don't have to get up close and personal with any high-voltage stuff.

If I can find some blank floppy disks, I could probably make you a set of boot disks, if you'd like.

Which is a shame because my desk at home has a WAY better computer with a Logitech G27, toy Cartman, and Boba Fett bobblehead. But Nurburgring and Hot Wheels!

It may need capacitors as well, I keep getting a graphics error you know the ones, B&W lines and checkered patterns. If you can make me some boot disks that would be incredible! I have a friend at my local apple store who has a shed full of everything from Lisas to iMacs, He's been a wealth of knowledge. Have you heard of the Macintosh Garden ? He turned me on to that.

Yup, definitely a lot of Hot Wheels, diecasts, and car posters in this office. Not gonna go around taking pictures obviously, but one guy has a lot of Jeep stuff (owns and drives a vintage Willys!) and someone else has a lot of exotics, someone has a bunch of vintage muscle car posters, and others like collecting badges.

Let me clarify that there all also plenty of engineers here who are not into cars at all and this is just a job for them. They're still good at their jobs, just not car people.
